Learn More about Unpaid CMHs
Unpaid CMHs reflect activities you’ve completed through ASHA Approved CE Providers . They have been reported to the CE Registry, but they do not appear on your transcript at this time because you have not paid for that year of the CE Registry membership.
You can still count these activities as self-recorded hours for which you are responsible for maintaining documentation. You may also join the CE Registry to have them added to your transcript as ASHA CEUs. If you join the CE Registry, you do not need to maintain your own documentation. If you earn 3.0 ASHA CEUs within your interval, your compliance form will be submitted on your behalf if your certification status is Current.
Self-recorded CMHs are activities you complete and document, instead of being tracked by the ASHA CE Registry. You do not need to obtain prior approval from ASHA for the activities you choose. The activities will count toward your 3 year interval as long as they meet ASHA’s certification maintenance standard for professional development and acceptable activities.
You are required to maintain your own documentation for all self-recorded CMHs. You will only need to submit documentation to ASHA if you are notified of being selected for an audit.
You track these yourself.
You must keep documentation of these activities. You do not need to send your documentation to ASHA unless you are notified that you have been selected for an audited.
However, if you earn 3.0 ASHA CEUs recorded on your transcript, and your certification status is current, your compliance form will be submitted by ASHA on your behalf.
After Submitting Your Compliance Form
Your next 3 year interval will begin 1/1/20XX. Only CMHs earned after that date will count toward your next interval.
We will only ask for documentation if you are audited.
If you have been selected for a random audit, you will be notified immediately after submitting your compliance form and you will receive and email.
