Certification Maintenance

Welcome to ASHA's Certification Maintenance

Congratulations on earning your CCC!

You have put in many years of hard work and dedication to earn this credential. Read the information below to learn how to maintain your CCC.

How to Maintain Your CCCs

Abide by the ASHA Code of Ethics.

Every Three Years:

Earn 30 Certification Maintenance Hours (CMHs) and submit a compliance form as verification by the end of each 3 year certification maintenance interval.

Every Years:

Maintain your affiliation by paying annual dues/fees.

What is a Certification Maintenance Interval?

Every ASHA certificate holder is assigned a 3-year certification maintenance interval that begins on January 1st of the year after your certification was awarded.

Your First 3-Year Interval is January 1, 20XX – December 31, 20XX

You need to earn 30 CMHs within your 3-year interval and submit a compliance form upon completion of the CMHs. The activities will count toward your 3-year interval as long as they meet ASHA’s certification maintenance standard for professional development and acceptable activities.

Activities completed before the start of your first certification maintenance interval (for example, while you were a student, applicant, Clinical Fellow) cannot be applied toward your interval.
